Shiprock and Spring Clouds, Navajo Nation

Shiprock and Spring Clouds

Shiprock and Spring Clouds was one of a number of negatives exposed during my last trip to the Southwest. The Navajo name for the monument translates roughly to Rock-with-Wings; one "wing" is evident to the left of it's base. It was wonderful watching the parade of ever-changing skies with shutter release in hand, trying to anticipate the seminal moment.
