Private instruction is available on any photographic, darkroom or camera/digital topic in a "classroom" setting (any location of your choosing), in the field, or in Rick's personal 2-enlarger black-and-white darkroom featuring LPL 4500-series VCCE enlargers.
Basic rate: $60 per hour; 2 hour minimum.
Half day (4 hours): $200
Full day (8 hours): $375
All rates plus travel and expenses. If you've attended Rick's seminars or purchased photographs in the past, you may be elegible for a dsicount from the published rates.

It's becoming difficult to find an introductory course in traditional printing that doesn't require a weeks- or months-long commitment of time. Rick is frequently asked if he might offer such a class, and now the answer is yes!
Scheduled like a private lesson, this one-day 8-hour class in Rick's personal darkroom equipped with two modern enlargers features one-to-one instruction on the basics of silver printing from contact sheet to finished print, including exposure time, contrast control and print manipulations. We'll work with your black and white negatives, or you can "borrow" an image from Rick for the day. Chemistry is provided; you bring the paper of your chioce or use Rick's supply ofIlford Resin Coated pearl 8x10 for a nominal per-sheet charge. Take the course with a friend and the second tuition adds just $100. An evening class in film developing can be scheduled before the printing session; add $50 for one person and $20 more for a second to the package tuition. Contact Rick to schedule your session now!
